Failover Problem

Hi,

When I do a manual failover from node1 to node2 all the
resources seem to move from one to another indicating pending .....online.
But when sql server service moves over
it says failed , and then moves over sucessfully.

What could be the likely problem.This has happened more
than once when we tested the cluster and couldnt find
any info from the log also.

If somebody has experienced a similar prob or has any suggestions pls post it

If i understand properly, is like this:
- manual failover
- cluster is trying to move the group with SQL resources on the other node
- then, you try to put to online the group. and on second attemps is working (?)(*)

For me is confusing what you do in the step (*).
What is the preffered node for those resources?
Check the resources of that group. When you set the group to failover it has to failover whole group. You have to check which resource cannot move in a resonable time.
Cluster log should say something.

Answer to my questions and sent me your cluster.log file.
