Failoer between PIX 520 and 525

We are going to be purchasing a 525, and we already have a 520. Is it possible to setup failover between these two models? They will be fairly far apart, but can be connected via fiber or 100mb cat5.

Bad news: It most likely won't work. The two firewalls must be identical, right down to the interfaces and crypto accel cards. The one exception is the software license type on each unit.

Yeah... I don't think it will work either. Although a 525 FO only box is about $3,000 US.

it will not work, i have the same configuration. i have a 520 and had to buy two 525 firewall to get failover to work.
