Hello, I have created a new trunk, signal group and DS1 circuit pack for a IDSN PRI connection.
Unfortunately, I am failing on several tests, the results of my tests are below.
I am thinking this is a provider issue, but am new to the Definity, so I am hoping someone can chime in and offer some guidance.

TEST RESULTS Signal group2

Port Maintenance Name Alt. Name Test No. Result Error Code

2 ISDN-SGR 636 FAIL 8
2 ISDN-SGR 639 ABORT 1132
2 ISDN-SGR 637 ABORT 1113

TEST RESULTS Trunk group 50

01A0601 ISDN-TRK 50/01 257 ABORT 1116
01A0602 ISDN-TRK 50/02 36 PASS

Can you run 'test board 01A06' and post the results here? Just to confirm, this is not a point-to-point (pbx to pbx) circuit.

Kevin

Kevin it is connected to a Polycom VSX 7000

Here is the test board results, they continue on until 01a0623
Any guidance would be most helpful.
Thank you.

The fact that you are passing test 138 on the board says that you have carrier. I assume that the Signaling Group shows out-of-service. The 'typical' ISDN configuration for the US is:

Kevin, thanks again for the reply.

Kevin, do you think the circuit pack could be faulty?

ISDN-TRK Failure code 8 on Test # 255

ISDN-TRK:
1. See the repair procedures for the appropriate DS1 interface circuit
pack (DS1-BD (DS1 Interface Circuit Pack), UDS1-BD (UDS1
Interface Circuit Pack), MG-DS1 (DS1 Interface Media Module)).

ISDN SGR Failure code 8 on Test # 636

ISDN-SGR: There is a problem with the UDS1 TN464 UDS1 circuit pack
or the DS1 Interface Media Module or the ISDN-PRI Signaling Channel
(D-channel). No ISDN trunk or PRI endpoint calls can be made until the
problem is resolved.
1. Consult the procedures for the UDS1-BD (UDS1 Interface Circuit
Pack) or the MG-DS1 (DS1 Interface Media Module), and the
ISDN-PLK (ISDN-PRI Signaling Link Port).

You're doing a line-side PRI to a video unit. Passing test 138 says that the transport between the two devices is okay. I don't know how the Polycom unit is administered. I would experiment with the 'Connect' field. 'Line-Side' implies using staions. You have the ports configured as trunks.

Remove the members from the trunk group and concentrate on getting the Signaling Group working first (status sig x).

Did Polycom provide a configuration guide? Are they a resource?

Kevin

Kevin, thanks again for the reply.
Here is my config for the signal group
I'm not sure what the NCA TSC fields and the CA TSC fields are for.
Or if I should use the Trunk Group for NCA TSC as the trunk group I created using the board 01a06.

If you do 'status signaling-group 2' does it show out-of-service?

Yes, here are the results of that.
I have also tried a different board, no joy.

Group ID: 2
Type: facility associated signaling
Group State: out-of-service

Primary D-Channel

Link: Port: 01A0624 Level 3 State: manual-out-of-service

Secondary D-Channel

Link: Port: Level 3 State: no-link

Busy and release port 01a0624. This will kick the D channel.

Hope this helps
