I have a disk that keeps failing to mount on our 969KS/220, running MPE/ix 7.5

I can see that it is LDEV9 that fails during boot, but am not sure how to identify what physical disk this is. Have looked in DISCUTIL at DSTAT and PDEV but and non the wiser.

Any suggestions?

You need to go into SYSGEN, go to the I/O configuration section, and to an LDEV 9. It will show you the type of drive and the physical path. Hope this helps

Once you do the SYSGEN, you can get the SCSI ID of the device (last number in the path to the device). You'll have to check each disk on the identified physical path for the ID of the disk that's failing.
