well i took the exam last friday and recieved an 800.
anyway I did decent on all but subnet masking and some WAN stuff, there where 2-3 questions on FDDI that blew me away)
Well my question is
1. Does the routing book for ccnp get into subnetting? I figure I can kill 2 birds with 1 stone.
2. Is there a new ccnp book out now? I heard they moved to a new test format.
3. Any simple resources to learn subnetting I understand the bibnary conversion just how many hosts/subnets that kind of stuff
Well thanks I'll be retaking the test hopefully this sat the 13th.

The CCNP Routing Cert Guide has a nice chapter on subneting, CIDR and VLSM.. all of which you need to know.

I'm an instructor at a Cisco Academy and I like to use this page for new sub-netters and re-trainers alike.
Also remember this formula. 2*n - 2 = subnet or host. Where n is number of bits borrowed for netmask or bits left over for hosts.

BTW- I just got back from my routing test.. 2 questions on subnetting.. a few on VLSM.. tons on EIGRP.. a few on OSPF and quite a few on BGP. An odd question or two for redistribution and policy routing.
