I've had it when I don't have the proper security for a database I need to access. Check whoever does security at your site to see if this is the problem, that you've not been set up for something that you are allowed to look at. Since I don't handle security, I can't advise more.
Except to point out you really need to post your Crystal version and connection details. Solutions differ a lot, depending on what you have.
