Failed to Open document

I have Crsyal 8.5 and recently I installed version 9. Then I learnt that version 9 will not let you save in earlier version. So, I uninstalled 9. Now I only have version 8.5 on my machine. But when I design the report from scratch
I copied some titles and few other stuff from another report (version 8.5) to this new report. As soon as I do that, next time I am not able to open the report. I keep getting "Failed to Open document" error. My work gets wasted. Is it not allowed to copy labels and other stuff from another report to a new report. Would appreciate your input and help.

I'd suggest putting back Crystal 9, both versions should run happily together, lots of people have used such mixes and I've never heard of it giving trouble.
