Failed to Logon to APS

I installed Crystal Enterprise 8.5 on our test server to check the new functionalities. I don't have problems with the ePortfolio and Management Console (I can import and schedule reports).
Then I installed Crystal Reports 8.5 on my Workstation and I can't login on the APS: all the parameters seems to be right (Authentication, Username, Password and so on). I tried with different users and from different workstations (and on the server itself) but each time I get the error 'Failed to Logon to APS'.

Can someone help me?

Crystal Reports 8.5 Professional in "out of the box" form is WILL NOT connect to Crystal Enterprise 8.5 APSs.

To make it able to connect it is necessary to install the Crystal Reports update that is on the Crystal Enteprise 8.5 CD.

It is in a reasonably obvious directory (I can't remember the exactly location) on the CE CD-ROM.
