Failed to Export the report error

I have a crystal report which is created in CR 11. Our companies recommended font is a commercial font named "Avenier". When ever I have this and try to export the file to pdf it gives me the "failed to export the report" error. I can change to any other font and it works fine. also I can print it to a AdobePDF printer and it works fine. except when i try to export it doesnt work. any suggestions?
