Failed to Connect Merge/Scan Deamon

I ´ve installed the ArcServe 9 for Linux and i will test, if I can merge my old Tapes from ArcServe 11 for Windows or my very Old Tapes from Arcserve for Netware.

My Problem is that I get the Message
" Failed to Connect to the Merge/Scan Deamon "
when I Merge any Tape, also the ArcServe for Linux Tapes.

So i think, i´ve a general Problem with the Merge option under Linux.

Can anyone help ?
