Failed to assign device to library

Hi folk,

I am using ArcServe V9 for our Dell machine W2K with ADIC faststor (1 x DLT7000) Diff-SCSI drive.

We have "Tape Library Option" installed and when we try to configure the tape library using wizard, encounter error below
"Failed to assign device to library"
"Maximum number of devices reached"
By the way the ADIC firmware is 0101 and drive firmware is 1E48. What could be the issues ?

Hi
1-Power down the Tape library.
2-Stop the BrightStor Tape Engine (if it is started only)
3-Delete Tape Engine Key from Registry
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ComputerAssociates\ArcserveIT\Base\TapeEngine

4-Power down BrightStor EB server

5-Power up the Tape library (wait until it fully initializes)

6- power the EB server

7- run device configuration

8-Assgin devices manually (Don’t use Automatic)
