Need to get a server back up and running. One disk is ok, and cloned onto a new disk. The other disk has failed. Is there a way of virtualizing this onto another server from the cloned disk, without booting the disk? My boss has tried several ways to get the server back up and running but is having no luck. Any suggestions would be greatfull.

Does depend on the server but you might be able to use something like GHOST to image the disk onto another one or DriveImage Pro.

Also you might possibly be able to use a Linux Live CD and the Linux dd command to image the disk block by block to another disk.

If it's a RAID1 disk that's failed, and one of the two is fine, what's your problem? By inserting a new drive you can replicate back across to the spare.
