Is there a way to know if a user cannot log into Great Plains due to a failed password? The Activity tracking does not do this.

This information cannot be obtained from any of the Microsoft Dynamics GP related databases. How can it record the data when it does not have access to the tables. :)

Your SQL logs would have that info, but it would be a lot of trouble to start tracking that info.

Thanks for your replies. Dynamics is looking into this as it is not tracking failed password attempts.

Do you have Microsoft Dynamics GP v9.0 or later with Windows Server 2003 and Active Directory as well as SQL Server 2005?

All this is needed to have the failed password attempts tracked.

Please note that a single failed password attempt from Dynamics GP will use 4 attempts as far as SQL Server is concerned.

FYI: A change was made in v10.0 SP2 to no longer support the legacy password encryption by default, this means that one failed attempt is one failed attempt.
