Failed Outbound Calls over SIP

Hello All

This is the first time I am required to troubleshoot a Mitel system.
We have this PBX and all internal calls are working as expected even with other connected PBXs over IPSec VPNs.

We are unable to place external calls.

Can someone please point me to the right deirection?

I do not see a valid outbound caller ID. It looks like you are sending the extension as the caller ID.

Also, give us some idea of what a valid calling number for your area might be. 00115339907 looks too short for Europe and simply wrong for NA.

This PBX is located in Sri Lanka and the number I am testing with is 0115339907.
I get similar results when i try to call international as well.

What would be a valid outbound ID. DO i need to have a public number to this extension to test?


 
You must have at a minimum 1 inbound DID for billing purposes

Any Extension can use that DID as the outbound caller ID. The inbound leg does not need to be terminated to the extension you are testing from.

In Canada, they do not allow us to make calls without providing a valid caller ID.
 
Honestly if it's a SIP call a packet capture is going to give you way more information on what the issue is than a CCS trace.
