I have ArcServe 2000 SP4 with Windows 2000 server SP3.

One of the job failed but still at READY status.
When I stop or delete the job it says. "Stop (Delete) failed."
restarting the engines did not change the situation.
What happened originally was that the tape was ejected while the job was running. so it should say interrupted job and stop. But keeps grabbing the service.

Is there anyway I can kill this job?
or do I have to reinstall ArcServe from scratch? (which is a bad way of fixing problems...)

Thanks all for your help.

Hi
1-Stop the tape Engine either from Arcserve or from win services

2-From Menu goto File-->Save as and save the job as ASX
3-From Job Status window find the job number which is giving the problem.
4-go to the path where Arcserve installed you will find a folder called 00000001.qsd
5-00000001.qsd is the Arcserve Job Queue delete the job which is giving the problem.

5-Start the job Engine and recreate the job

6-To get rid of this problem completely apply the patch
