Failed in installing Patch kit 4 on TRU64 5.1

Patch kit4 is required for TRU64 5.1 to install ORACLE 9i.
My TRU64 5.1 machine has no patch kits installed yet.

While installing patchkit 4 using dupatch, got lots of error messages saying patch xxx should be installed before install patch MMM in patchkit 4.

Question:
Before installing patchkit4, should I have to install all previous patch kits for TRU64 5.1, such patchlit3, ptachkit2 and patchkit1?

We had to do this as well, but all you should have to do is install patch kit 5, and that should take care of it.
