Failed Full Backup - Using Incremental Strategy

I've implemented a incremental backup strategy with the full backup occuring each week.

However last week the full backup failed. Can I restore any data I need by using the previous full backup (the one before the failure) and then the incremental backups leading up to the point I wish to restore.

hello,
When you do an incremental backup the archive bit is reset. We started to do a full backup once a week, then Differentials. Then you would go from last good full backup and then to the last differential backup and that should be good. I think with incrementals you will have a lot of restores to do to recover. I am not sure if you would loose any data or not. but thought I would mention about the differentials. blonde
