Fade with images

Im pretty new to flash mx but i need to know how to fade a gif image to a backround color and then have another similar image in size fade in then out. Thanks, PAUL

You can put that gif in a movie clip, and alpha it out with a motion tween, or a scripted AS fade out. Regards,
