I have 2 1230 sets that need to be reset to factory. I think firmware is corrupt, or settings are totally wrong. I have tried to solve this with no luck. I have lots of experience with these sets. Is it possible?

Thanks

If you are using 062AC6E or later firmware, then the following key sequence will to a "factory default":
**73639[MAC]## where MAC corresponds to the MAC address of the phone which can be found on the label on the back of the phone. Letters ABC would use the 2 key, and letters DEF would use the 3 key.

When was this available,
I have been searching for a factory reset on these phones because of the ip conflict when you deregister 1210 phones.

Hope it works

C6E corresponds to "UNIStim 3.0" and was initially released in mid 2008. The latest SU patches for BCM 200/400 4.0, BCM 50 3.0, and BCM 450 1.0 include firmware with this change.
