factory default password for Covad provided Netopia

I bought a Netopia R9100 used. I reset it to the factory defaults and it's asking for user and password.

This is because it's a Covad configured Netopia.

Usually, you can clear any username and passwords and go directly to the Main Menu when you reset a Netopia router.
The exception is a Covad provided Netopia.

Anyone know what the default password might be?

When you say "factory default", are you referring to the good old paper-clip slot underneath?

Yes, the good old paper-clip slot will return the Netopia to factory-defaults. There's also a menu selection that does it.

Shortly after I started this thread I discovered elsewhere that, unlike other Netopia routers, if it's a Covad Netopia the username/password is admin/admin.
