Hello All,

The company I work for has an old Nortel Option 81 which is being decommed. I have been enlisted to help in this process. Management is concerned about VMs or other information residing in the system.

Can someone tell me what is the easiest way to delete all data and programming and/or return the system to factory default?

Thank you in advance.

I'm guessing that it's easy to just reboot the Option 81 using the install disk and then loading in the factory defaults. Let the system boot up and edd ok.

Any Call Pilot system can be reloaded using ghost images. Best to do it yourself, then you know the task has been done OK. Also don't forget to wipe any backups if they are on floppies or flash cards etc.

All the best

If it's working, then leave it alone!.
