We have Facsys Fax Connector 2000 installed on Exchange 2000, which had been running fine. Suddenly, the connector service does not start and gives the following system event error:

Description:
The FACSys Fax Connector service terminated with the following error:
The service did not start due to a logon failure.
We tried uninstalling the connector and re-installing to no avail, as well as:
1. Changed "logon as" user to no avail.
2. Forced wins thinking it would help. We are already getting from DHCP server.
3. Turned off all optus services and tried, turned off all backup as well no go
4. Worked from email server side, changed connection server info no go.
5. Last played with security rights for that dir/gwfacsys.exe command making sure it did have full "system rights"
Still no go. Yikes!!!
Anyone out there has some inside info as to how we can get the connector to start rendering faxes. Our users have not been able to send out faxes thru Exchange.
Anything helps.
