I need to run some 22AWG and a 24AWG for some equipment. I was wondering if there is a good looking faceplate I can use to have a clean looking installation?

I have seen some faceplates that have a tiny circular hole in the middle (smaller than a recepitcal outlet). Has anyone seen these?

Any ideas of how I can keep a clean looking installation?

There are two that are similar. One is the faceplate with just a 1/2" or some hole in it, used to route a wire through, older style but still available probably from leviton. Otherwise, you can just buy a CATV faceplate and take the barrel fitting out of the faceplate, then you have a nice place for your cable to get through.

Good Luck!

I'm looking on leviton's site for the one with the 1/2 hole in it, I'm not finding it. It is kind of strange application I'm needed. I need to run 2 RCA's and 3 22AWG wires. Just trying to make it as clean as possible. I know there are RCA faceplates which I have been debating using.

I like to use blank face plate covers. Carefully drill the holes you need to custom build just about anything that you need. Some brands are quite brittle and crack easily, so drill them fast with a sharp bit. Some are more flexable than others and drill better. You can then mount any type of jack or wire into your new custom face plate.

Hmm, maybe leviton dropped it. If you have multiple wires, you can use a 6 port faceplate, designed to snap 6 jacks into, then buy the blank snap-in inserts and drill holes into them. The inserts are a soft plastic which makes drilling easy.

If you are going to use blank faceplates, look for PVC faceplates, those are the soft plastic ones that drill nicely.

Good Luck!

I use some products that may be of intrest to you. At one time Wiremold made them and they have been bought out by Pass&Seymour. The face places are just a hole. In a single gang configureation you can have up to six jacks in one faceplate. They have blanks for these and make every jack inserts you need. Fiber,coax,Cat5,cat3,audio and video. I have the link below for you if you are intrested.

If you find any mistakes, please consider that they are there for a purpose. And everyone needs a purpose.
