I have a Fac code and access number configured in the abbreviated dial system list. I.E. #7373 which puts me on a voip line we have going to Israel. When I dial this from my desk phone it works fine.

When I call from outside the company using the remote-access feature all seems to work until I enter the # sign for the fac code. I get a wave off. If I make the same call using remote-access and dial the TAC (not using the system abbreviated list) it also works.

Seems I have a problem when using the abbreviated system list, but nothing I try will put me on the voip TAC when I try using the system list.

Software R013x.01.1.628.1
S8700

Any suggestions.
Thanks
George

GMinTX,

all logical. when you dial abbr fac from your desk phone, you dial it from an extension that has a corresponding abbr list programmed to it. when you dial in via remote access feature, there's no physical extension (nor virtual station for all that matters) and therefore no abbr list assigned to it. no wonder it doesn't work.
to avoid using tac, i'd suggest you to set up a correct routing via aar instead. using tacs for trunk access is not recommended, it can be potentially exploited by malicious person for toll fraud purposes.
