ok - I am cornfused

after years of dealing with the TWO company I am finding more and more examples talking about the GP Dynamics Fabrikam company

any ideas where this beauty is?

Fabrikam was fabricated from their imaginations.

It's the new name of the demo company, with data pre-filled for various modules. I think they use it for several of their products not just GP (I know I've seen it as a gradient color option in Expression Graphic Designer).

I understand what Fabrikam is - just can not figure out where I should find it

The World Online is still what I see even afer reloading the sample data from V9 utilities.

Is it a new database or something I should easily find and download? I have looked through utilities and other things online - still can not find the thing.

Really? When I had installed V9 I had it.

Did you do an upgrade while having the TWO installed? I suppose if TWO was there when you reloaded the sample data it may not change the name of the company - I'm no expert so, take it for what it's worth.

Delete the company in Great Plains and then in SQL Enterpise Manager and reinstall the sample company.

Hey Klewis - you are the winner of this bright star!

interestingly enough the DB is still called TWO - just named differently in GP (marketing people - they are everywhere).

Thanks

Those "marketing people" were actually legal people. Don't ask..... :)

The demo data must not reflect any real life companies or people.

The World Online, Inc., TWO, Inc. and even Ace Travel were all existing businesses and so needed to be changed. They also changed all the demo company phone numbers to fake 555 phone numbers.

There is a South African partner called TWO, Inc. They better not change their name to Fabrikam, Inc.!!!

Changing the DB name from TWO would have been too much work and so it was left as it was.

Hope this explains it a bit more.
