I have an interesting situation. CICS 6.1 with CP100 1.5 (with VMS and CC enabled). When you query for the CP DN with F985 it reports the B2 channel DN (250) not the B1 (which 232). So what happens when you enter 250 (the DN reported by F985) as the DN for CFNA/B the CICS won't allow it because its a B2 DN. But you can enter 232 (the B1 DN) for that port. Pretty confusing for the end user who follows the book instructions on how to call forward to voice mail. I had to go into maintenance to get the correct DN. How weird is that??

shut down voicemail, do xftest and remove feat 9 8 5, then restart vm and the feature should be back to correct DN.

If voting could really change things, it would be illegal.

I'll try to reset the F code thanks Jerry. The CPwas just installed replacing a flash.

You might want to do all the feature codes that a flash would have had in effect then. just to be safe.

Delete them all during the xftest. The CP will need to be off. The proper upgrade procedure from Flash to CP is to delete all the feature codes.

make sure autoset relocation is off too!!!!

it looks like there is a hardware problem with the b1 channel on the 1st port of the cp100. No matter what port on the phone system the cp100 is connected to F985 reports the b2 channel DN. As a result you can't set CFNA/B because the phone system won't accept a b2 channel DN in CFNA/B. All other funtions work. Cp100 needs to be repaired/replaced.

So my question becomes... how do migrate keycodes from one CP to another?

Hmmmmm, intresting since their is no SEKUR disk anymore and Backup I would assume won't work.

My suggestion is to upgrade/reinstall the boot loader and see if that will help as it may have a boot problem....if you hook up a laptop to the CP while booting it may tell a story!?

try as curlycord says ...hookup a serial connection and montir ...maybe the B1 channel in the CP is not coming up

If the XFTest does not work. Could you do a change DN from B1 to B2 to see if that will correct it as a work around?

As i said earlier it turned out to be a port 1, B1 channel failure.

I am having the exact same problem with a CICS SIP 6.0 and a CP100 2.10.06.00.
Does this mean the CP100 is defective and must be replaced?
I have never seen this before.

Thanks,
Dave

Its the CP100 1st channel has failed. You can confirm a channel failure by doing F985 on 4 phones (leave each one on). You'll find the 4th phone will give you busy. So only 3 channels are working.

Is this a know problem for Nortel, or is it just a few odd cases? I'm going to send mine back for repair, but you know Nortel won't send me an advance replacement, so my customer is out a vmail until I get the replacement.
Did replacing the cp100 fix your site?
Thanks,
Dave

Apparently my supplier was aware of this problem, I have a new CP100 coming this morning for the customer.
scanjet - I tried moving the CP100 ports on the CICS with and without set relocation, same problem, B1 DN is not working.
