We use F5's Global Site Manager, for our content management needs. It's really just a sophisticated FTP server, which monitors the source location, and posts updates to the web servers. As a concept, it works perfect for us as we are a very large Web shop, with a well defined DEV/QA process, so developers do not do updates directly.
I have a copule of questions:
1. Anyone else using this system out there and have come across the quirk that it just does not like some publications , it will get as far as "prepared", but never post the updates? (we've been the F5 support route, without much success )
2. The GSM product is comming to the end of its life with F5, so we are looking at alternatives, which do not have the unecesary features (for us) of a full blown CSM solution, anyone been through this exercise, any recomendations? ( we need something more that a scheduled Cute-FTP, by the way ).
Thanks
