I have a reasonably high end setup which copes with Photo shop and Cubase, but FP takes about 3-4 mins everytime to save anything, I do not have the contents page checked to update every time. At present their are about 500 pages plus 1500 links. Should I be creating subwebs?

If you're referring to Publishing: In my experience large webs take a long time and small webs take almost none. Tho 3-4 min sounds long to me.

Are you on FP2K or 2002? 2002 has a new feature allowing you to selectively publish specific pages. This could save you time.

If you're referring to actual page-saving time: 3-4 min sounds really long to me. Have you deleted old temp files?

If you're editing the site online, this could be the cause of the problem. I have a 200+ page site; I update the specific page on my computer and publish it to the site. The time length is especially true if you are dealing with assigning a category to a page or updating the shared borders. You might also try to recalculate the hyperlinks (though this may take a while).
