Hi folks,

we just installed AIX4.3.3 on one of our systems.
Now the problem is, that whenever we run smit the F - keys (F1, F2, F3, etc.) aren't working. We have to use <ESC>+1 <ESC>+2 and so on instead.

How can we correct this ?

Thanks in advance !

Regards
Thomas

Run echo $TERM on this machine, see if the TERM variable is correct for this machine. Compare the result to another machine that works correctly.

You are probably using a terminal that doesn't support Function keys... like native vt100

Try a different terminal emulation.. like ansi for example..
