Hi !

Please consider the following (simple) architecture:

two 3548-XL "stacked" through their GigaStack Interface.
No Vlan except the default one.
I would like to create a fast etherchannel connection BUT by using one port on each switch.
This would provide both speed and complete fail over.

It is possible to do so ? Or does Cisco switches won't let me define such a config ?

Thanks for your help

FEC is used for 2-8 FE ports, so what you are saying wouldn't work. Stacking switches I believe only allows them to share an IP address, not to be treated as one config.

I may be wrong, but I would say that this would not work

Daniel,
