I receintly underwent several upgrades. Started with 20 gig hardrive. Had to install ez harddrive. then new motherboard.
Reformatted the new harddrive made it master, made the old smaller hard drive slave.

Now all info on the old hard drive is gone? Windows and bios says it's 1.9mb instead of actual 2.2 gig. No files present.

Tried fdisk to no avail.

Can i retrieve some of the lost files? If not how can i reformat to recover unused space?

Thanks in advance,
Skeet

Suggest that the old drive be master on secondary controller. You may be into some ezdrive issues. You need to have access to the old drive from floppy boot to be able to see it from a hard drive boot.
Alternative is to let your OS do the configuration without ezdrive. Will create multiple drives for you, but the old drive will show as d:

How did you reformat the old drive? With the old board? If so try reattaching the drive to the old board and see if it recognises it. If not Maxtor has the best hard drives.
