I installed the Desktop edition of SQL Server 7 on my laptop. It is too slow to use. Example, it takes around 30 seconds to from the enterprise manager, just to get the explorer style list on a selected server. From there another 20 seconds will get a list of databases. Litterally every function takes this long and the harddisk is thrashing during the operations. This machine has 192MB of RAM. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
