I am Using Macola Progression 7.6.400a on a mssql server.
We recently started using multi-bins.
When I create a batch ID for a cycle count selection by a range of item numbers I get a very short "Please Wait..." from Macola and the process completes.
However when I attempt to create a batch ID for a cycle count selection by a range of Bin Locations, I get a very LONG (hours) "Please Wait..." from Macola and then I just give up.
Any suggestions??
The Bins were added to the IMINVBIN_SQL through mssql and all of the necesary flags in the other modules appear to be correct. The only issue in all of the modules seems to be the extremely long wait creating a cycle count batch.

First thought run the MSL Checker to check the indexs on the files ?

Update on my question.
I let the Cycle count select run overnight.

I do not know how long it actually took to complete, but it did complete.
The result was no records found. (btw, requesting a range of item numbers with bins set to ALL does return the range of item numbers I select)

Where exactly is the cycle count select looking for the records? The multibin flags are set in iminvloc etc, there are bins in iminvbin etc.
I used the most liberal request, select ALL item numbers, only asking for the MO warehouse (which exists) and selected a range of bins from the search box that I know exist in the iminvbin file.

I even ran the rebuild on the iminvloc and iminvbin tables from within Macola.

I tried using the "Macola Electronis" Demo account and the same problem occurs. Is this possibly a bug or "new feature ;-)

The MSL Index checker is worth a try. Jere do you have that utility?
