I have built 3 systems in the last 5 days. All P4 systems. But having a few problems. The specs on each are listed below...The first two systems do not have a problem with the startup post procedurs, however the third takes forever during the post operations. All bios settings are the same on all three computers...the only real difference I could notice was the one guy had a 1.9GHz cpu. Any thoughts? Know what may be causing the third system's slowness?

I guess know one else has had this experience with the Pentium 4 computers or knows why it would happen? -Ovatvvon :-Q

I just bult an P4 system with a Pent1.5 /256Ram and an intel 845 chipset. 350watt ATX power supply . I also had extremly slow boot took at least 3-5 min Got me real upset ,What I did was to reformat HD and reinstall Windows 98 . Seems to have taken care of the problem . Has been Booting fast now for about 3 weeks , Hope this helps some

I had the same slow boot with win-me, I also re-formated and re-installed the os. That seemed to clear up the slow boot.

Hmm, that's interesting. If some of the other tests we're about to run don't work, I'll try that. Thanks all! -Ovatvvon :-Q
