Hi - hoping someone can help me out.

I have created a design in Adobe Illustrator 8.0, and for some reason, whenever I save it (-> File -> Save As ->Eps), it results in a file size of 57 mbs. There are no pictures/raster images in this file. All elements were created in Illustrator. The only thing I did do was copy a logo (again, all vector image)from one EPS file into this final file.

The actual Illustrator File is only 244kb - if anyone could shed some light on why the conversion to EPS is creating such a humongous file, would be much appreciated!

THANKS!!!!

Don't save with preview on, you can save with thumbnail on though, preview makes a fullsize whatever you're working on image file that it saves alongside the vector file you've made. If your file is say 6' by 3' then you preview image would be several dozen megs at least so make sure preview is off. Thumbnail on the otherhand is handy for having a small view from any applications that are browsing the files, and it only adds a few bytes.
