Hi,

We are utilising 2 x Extreme BD8810's for our core switching. We are running VRRP across these switches, so 1 is master and 1 is slave. These switches are utilising type A blades.

We purchased recently a replacement 8810 but the blades (which are apparently compatible) are type C Blades.

Upon re-connecting the new switch to the old switch we had a VRRP issue of both switches becoming the Master (Not good). This caused connectivity issues (obviously).

Does anyone know if there are issues with software compatibility between the A version blades and C version blades?

The images and Boot roms are the same on both switches.

Cheers
