I have about 25,000 file that have various phases before the text I need to collect. For example: Patient Name:<TAB>

I need to extract the data to the Paragragh mark.

If the phase (Patient Name:)is found in a document, I would like to move the file to a specific directory, and then create a table containing:

Document name, Location, Extracted Text

Resources or code would be great

Thanks in advance for any help you can give!!

You could extract the documents containing the text you mentioned above by using the windows search feature, set to text-search. This would flag all files containing that text, & you can then simply copy all the results to a folder of your choice. James Goodman

I need the phrase after the text specified. The text specified (Patient Name:) is a common phrase in the document near the text I need. If there is an automated way of using find files using a table of the patient names that would work also.

Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks
