EXTRACTING OLDEST DATE

Crystal reports 9 connected to sql server

In the details section of a report we have a list of completed work orders with completed dates. I would like to extract the newest date and place it in the group header.
see example below

11/20/2009
10/11/2009
11/25/2009

11/25/09 would be placed in the Group header.

If you sort descending on the date field, you can just place the date field in the group header. Or you can insert a maximum on the date field at the group level.
