I want to extract data from a particular website into my Access Database. At the moment I do a search which returns the whole dataset in 10 record chunks and I copy and paste it into my DB. I then press next and repeat the process. As there are over 80,000 records to deal with this takes a long time! Has anyone any ideas as to how this process might be automated?

Depending on your VBA and ETL skills you could probably automate this process using a Web Browser control. This will allow you to [tt]Navigate()[/tt] web pages and expose the data they contain, all from the comfort of Access.

Here is an example in Excel that demonstrates what can be done with the WebBrowser control and with a little coding you could make do what you want in Access.

Hope this helps,
