hi, bit of a problem and need help urgently.

Basically we had a major problem with a hard disk and had to transfer all information on old hard disk to new one in /mnt folder. Now I need to basically create a mysql dump of the database in the /mnt folder and install it to the new database.

Is there a command that could do this or is there any way to copy this?

If you copied the /var/lib/mysql/*.* directory then you can simply copy

*.frm
*.MYD
*.MYI

related to the appropriate database from there and move it across in the same location on the new linux box.
