extracting data from 1st line of flat file

Hi all,

I have flat file in that 1st line contains Date which i need to extract and with the help of that i need to get fiscal week.

how to get the date?

Does the flatfile contain numerous columns?
If so, you can read in the flatfile twice. For the real data in line 2 till the end of the file, make sure you to assign the correct value to the 'number of initial rows to skip' in the source definition.
Use the IS_DATE function in filter to pass only the first line that contains the date at the top of the flatfile...
