extracting constraint DDL in Oracle 8.1.7

I need to dynamically drop and recreate all my constraints. Hence I need to extract the current DDL, modify it, drop and recreate. How can I get my constraint DDLs in Oracle8; not 9 - dbms_metadata is not available in 8. Thanks for ideas.

Would disabling them and then re enabling them be a better idea?
