I have a very large database (millions of records) which contains over 7 years of data and I need to migrate this data over to a new database/application. I have been asked to extract the information in CSV format from Crystal reports, which I have done. Now I'd like to schedule business objects to run the .csv files sequentially month by month so that it starts with (say) Jan 2003 and then when that's ran successfully to do Feb 2003 and so on right up to 2013. I've searched on forums and looked in manuals but I haven't been very successful finding a solution. Can this be done and does anyone know how to do it? I am using business objects enterprise version 11.5.

Thanks in advance[cat2]

You probably have two options:

1. Create a new Schedule event for each month except the last one. Then schedule the first report so that it will set its schedule event when it completes. Schedule each successive report so that it waits for the schedule event from the previous report and sets its own schedule event. However, I'm not sure whether this will work in XI r2 (version 11.5) and I don't have that version installed anywhere so I could look at it.

2. Write a program using either the .NET SDK or the Java SDK that will schedule a report to "Run Now", wait for it to complete, then schedule the next one. I have some sample C# code that uses the XIr2 available on my website - look for "BOEScheduleCrystal"
