Hello all,

I'm trying to find a way to programmatically extract PIN information from BES. I have followed this online article which states that PINs are stored in a mailbox folder called "Handhelds" under the BESAdmin's account. This folder does not exist under my BESAdmin's account thus causing the posted script to not work properly. Is there any where else BES stores PINs besides the SQL database? My BES version is 4.0.

Thanks in advance,

-Sip

The BES logs sync information including the PIN to a log file. YOu could parse them from there.

Hi Tom,

Thanks for the reply. Do you know which log file contains the PINs? I'm under BlackBerry Enterprise Server\Logs\20050829 (todays date) but cant find any PIN info.

Thanks.

Unfortunately, I do not know the name of the log as it resides on the server. I was given the logs to write a parsing script to retrieve user information from the log. When it was given to me the name was 20050825_Blackberry Enterprise Server_NAMEOFSERVER.txt. Where NAMEOFSERVER was of course the name of the server that the log was pulled from.
