extract numbers from form element

Does anyone know a easy way to extract only numbers form a string in a item box.

like this: 1.5 GHZ Processor for $150

I only want this for my calculations: 150

Thanks provide tools to let people become their best.

Read in the full string.
Search for "$".
Take everything after this position.
Search for " "
Take everything before this position.
This gives you the price.
