Extract Name From A Cell 1

Dear All,

In column A I have a list of agents names displayed in cells :-

a2 = (group name) smith,John (team Name)
a3 = (group name) smith,bill (team Name)
and so on


I need to get just the names out of the column and put this into Column A, I then need to take the first part of the cell and put this into column b(group name), and then end part in Column C(team name), I also need to remove the "(" &quot" from column B and C when they go into the columns.
Occastionally the first and the end parts can have double brackets around them, but they always do have brackets around them.

I am not sure where to start on this, any help/coding would be greatly appreciated.

I have baout 300 rows like this that I need to split.

1. select all the data

2. Do Text to Columns -- menu item Data/Text to columns

3. select the Delimited option button

4. select the Other check box and enter a close parenthesis )

5. finish

6. select the column of data just created

7. do the above only enter an open parenthesis (

8. finish

9. in the first column Edit/Replace ( with null

VOLA!

Thanks for this, i Have recorded and edited it and it works fine except, when I have a double quote it only leaves the first part of the cell. for example

(group name(names)) smith,john (team name)

ends up like
column a
group name names
column b and c are blank

any suggestions
