Extra toner smudges on printouts

Got a Laserjet 2100 which has been used by some people to print out a bunch of screen shots and using lots of toner which has resulted in the printer now leaving toner smudges on all print outs. I'm wondering if there is a way to clean the fuser or whatever is dirty.

Yes. Pull the toner and clean the transfer roller. Lift the flap on the registration assy. and clean. The fuser may have toner build up. If over 100,000 pgs., replace.
Check the contacts on the left and clean.
