Hi,

Any ideas where to look for settings that could control blank rows during export to Excel data-only?
I'm seeing 4 blank rows after a group footer section when exporting to Excel, data-only.
--- from a CR runtime, it seems to work OK when exporting from the Developer.

I have a main report that includes two sub-reports in the group headers.
- all fields and sections on subreports are suppressed
- main report
--- subreport format: suppress blank subreports
--- sections containing subreports: suppress blank sections

Thanks,

Bordway

Excel export and subreports seem to be popular.

I was having the same problem. I made all the fields in the main report same height and made the height just enough to show the values. You may have to do that in the sub report too. Eliminating any extra space is the key, I believe. It took many tries until I was finally able to eliminate all the blank rows.

Hope this helps.

Were you able to get rid of the unwanted blank rows?

I was having the same problem right now. Try to align the first field to the left margin. Also, make sure all fields touch the top of the section that you are exporting.

As I wrote earlier, I had to try many times before I could get rid of the blank rows.
