I am having a problem with extra pages displaying within the main report when I export into Microsoft Word. I have two groups in the footer area that have the New Page after group function activated. I think since I have two groups that are using this feature it is causing extra pages within the main document. Is there a formula that I can create that will turn off the New Page after feature once all records are retrieved so that extra pages within the document will not display?

Are you stating that you have extra pages at the end of the report, or???

If you ask for a new page after a group, it will give it to you, though you can conditionally change whether it does so using the X-2 formula area next to New Page After.

So if you don't want new pages for some reason, place the criteria in there. An example might be that in the inner group you only kick a page if the month of some date changes:

month({MyTable.MyDateField}) <> month(next({MyTable.MyDateField}))

I have extra pages at the end of the document which I can live with.
I have two groups that have the New Page after function for example
Group 1=Period ending date
Group 2=Department

The department Group will create extra pages within the main document. Mostly when there is a new period.

The Period group will only display an extra page at the end of the document.

So you are saying I need create a criteria for the New Page After function?
