Extra Page Added in PDF File????

Hi, I'm new to Adobe Acrobat. I have Acrobat 6 Professional. Normally conversions have gone smoothly. But when converting a Word 2000 file this morning an extra page was added. The sequence is there's a title page and then a section break because the format changes. Between the title page (section 1) and the first page of the body (section 2), Acrobat inserts an extra blank page. This is puzzling because I've converted without a problem a lot of Word documents before that were made up of multiple sections.

Is there a way to either (1) stop Acrobat from inserting that blank page, or (2) delete the page once the pdf file is created?
